Even though I have never been paid to take care of the elderly I have done quite a few years volunteering at a senior center. I started volunteering in high school and stuck with the same center for 3 years til I moved . I was raised most of my life by my grandmother, my grandfather went through a bull riding accident which made him paralyzed, being the oldest I had to step up and help with his care as in his changings, medication, food preparation and even the fun parts I remember like helping him with his stretching and giving him massages. He thought me to care for others who can't care for themselves. Thanks to him I grew up wanting to help children and the elderly. I am currently enrolled in nursing school to be able to help people for the rest of my life.
