Alexus is THE best! She started nannying for us when our son was 11 months old (he’s 2.5 years now), and she is a lifesaver. My husband and I both worked from home, and we needed someone to care for and watch him while I was working my part time job. We were frazzled and stressed, and it was in the middle of the pandemic, and she was so gracious and kind, and was such a huge help with him. We would not have survived that time as first time parents without her help! She’s is SO good with him, she plays with him, feeds him, changed diapers, took him to parks so he could run around as he got older, did arts and crafts with him, and read lots of books (some multiple times, over and over 😂) He waits for an adult to hold his hand and walk up stairs because she worked with him on that, she helped us with his speech therapy by narrating everything, and encouraged him to say the word for what he wanted. She got him to put on his coat and hat when it was cold, which was a struggle but she figured out how to get him to do it and told us so we could do the same (put them on outside, as he realized that they kept him warm). Now he brings his socks and shoes and coat and cooperates putting them on. She also worked with us on his naps as his schedule adjusted overtime. On top of that, she she cleaned up his toys and did his dishes. When I was super stressed with work, it was such a relief to find everything organized and put away. The only reason she is having to move on is because I recently resigned from my part-time job (that wasn’t really part-time) and am now able to stay home with him. She was so understanding and kind, and she has been letting me shadow her during her time with my son the last couple weeks so I can learn how she’s been breaking down his day and the activities they do, and giving me ideas for fun activities to do with him. We will certainly be keeping in touch so my son can see his bestie once in a while 🥰 We are going to miss her terribly but our loss is certainly someone else’s gain! I wholeheartedly recommend Alexus, she is the best and I’m envious of and so so happy for whoever gets to be her next family 😊❤️
