About Alexis

I'd describe my personality as outgoing and easy to get along with. I like tutoring because I enjoy the 1 on 1 learning environments. It's important for kids to be able to feel heard and seen by their teachers. Tutoring makes learning more fun & less pressure. I'm looking for a job that is fun, good at communicating & willing to work at the students pace. I started tutoring 16 years ago. I have had classroom experience, one on one experience and small group experience. My degree is in special education, mild-moderate & moderate-intensive, k-12. I currently run a local homeschool co-op (ages 0-14) and tutor a handful of kids within that co-op, ages 3-10. In my spare time, I like to spend time with my family outdoors. We have 3 littles & 2 dogs. We spend most of our time camping & exploring! One thing you should know about me is I am punctual and I am very thorough with my communication. My schedule is pretty flexible as well. My skills include math, reading and writing.
