About Katherine

My name is Kate. I double-major in Political Science and Strategic Communications. I have extensive experience working as a student Peer Leader (1. 5 years), and I'd love to take the peer coaching skills I have to help your child thrive in school! I like tutoring because I love helping young kids achieve their goals! I'm looking for a job that works with my class schedule! I started tutoring when I was in high school. As apart of National Honors Society, I used to volunteer tutor, taking walk-ins at my local library. In my spare time, I like to run -- I'm training for a marathon currently! One thing you should know about me is for tutoring, I believe in a straight forward approach to build skill sets, and work to mitigate bad habits. My skills include memorization strategies, time management skills, and study strategies.
