About Alexandria

My name is Alexandria and I have been studying speech and hearing sciences at the UW (Seattle campus), while nannying for a sweet 6-year-old remote student this year. I have thoroughly enjoyed my experience with the family and connecting with the child through creative play. I also have additional experience with a 4- and 6-year-old pair of sisters that I had a great time working with. These experiences, in tandem with course work centering around building resilience in childhood, has enabled me to grow a passion for connecting with children and their families by becoming a secure base and an additional set of helping hands. I am continuing my education this fall to complete my minor in ASL (which I am currently conversationally fluent in), before attending graduate school to become a speech language pathologist. I love helping support children in finding their own voices, while recognizing which strategies might suit them and their temperament best.
