About Alexandra

Hello! My name is Alexandra, but my friends call me Alé. I am currently a graduate student studying occupational therapy in pediatrics at SUNY Downstate in Brooklyn. I have been working with children since 2013 and have about 11 years of experience working with babies as young as 6 weeks old to teenagers and even multiple children. I am a pretty bubbly and down to earth. Coming from a large Hispanic family, I've always been around children and developed a calling for this field. My caregiving style includes safe exploration, creative play, and mirroring daily activities for children to participate in and feel included. I am very keen on involving intentional exercises through gross and fine motor play as well as self regulation, sensory regulation, and redirection. My interests include playing with animals, learning, cognitive and physical health, and creative arts! I look forward to chatting more with you.
