About Alexandra

I'm Alexandra, and I hold a Bachelor's of Science in Civil Engineering from Purdue University. My academic journey allowed me to contribute to research in elementary mathematics, specifically focusing on spatial awareness curricula for young learners. After stepping away from engineering full-time, I moved to Seattle with a passion for helping underserved youth succeed both socially and academically. Currently, I run a local nonprofit that provides free afterschool programming to students at Title I schools in King County, where one of our core pillars is literacy. I believe that building a solid foundation is key to a student's educational development. By helping students recognize patterns and build on that knowledge for understanding, I strive to make academics more accessible and less overwhelming. My focus is primarily on working with elementary school youth, guiding them to reach their full potential through personalized and thoughtful tutoring.
