About Alana

Hi! I am enthusiastic, compassionate, and organized person who finds joy in developing creative solutions to life's challenges. My experiences managing a nature-based after school program, working as a summer camp counselor, volunteering for multiple Special Olympics programs, caring for grandparents with dementia, babysitting, and petsitting, have provided me with a diverse background in supporting families in a variety of capacities. With my Bachelor of Arts in Human Development and Family Sciences and work and volunteer experiences, I have a thorough understanding of how to provide holistic care. My passion for holistic health and knowledge of social determinants of health shines through in my love for meal planning and cooking meals that maximize nutritional benefits, facilitating interactive lessons and activities, and my desire to build community and a more accommodating society.
