About Alaina

I'd describe my personality as bubbly, caring, and patient. I like working with kids because of their curiosity, senses of humor, and their wonder with the world. I'm looking for a job that allows me to build positive relationships with families and kids and provide quality care. I started working with kids when I was in middle school. I started babysitting, then served as a teachers assistant in high school, babysat and worked with students while in college, then earned my degree in secondary education. I've been a middle and high school teacher for 7 years. In my spare time, I like to read, spend time outside, play with my pets, learn new recipes, and spend time gardening. One thing you should know about me is I am organized and have firm but fair expectations. I am very willing to help families reinforce their behavior expectations with patience and love. My skills include patience, compassion, and a willingness to play.
