About Abby
I started a house call practice in 2011 in order to be able to care for my son. We had one negative experience with a babysitter, and it changed my career path. I was my kiddo's primary caregiver from infant to 13yrs of age. I set up work around my son's schedule. We did the crunchy parenting- baby wearing, co-sleeping, and we taught our kiddo basic sign language etc. I am happy to say my son is an intelligent & caring 14yr old. I have a very part time business, and I do not desire to work in a traditional veterinary practice. My heart can no longer handle the grief and sadness of end of life care. I am looking for a long term position up to 10 to 15 miles from Ames.
