Hi Yvette!!!

I can say do know from both ends of this site! I am a licensed family childcare provider as well as a parent seeking care/tutoring for my children!! The pros of this site is that majority of the providers/tutors and such are somehow background check through this site! They request for your social and lots of other private information to validate you!! The cons of being a provider and applying for jobs is that this site lacks to inform you that the thousands of jobs you apply for never get reached to the person who is hiring unless you pay a ridiculous amount to upgrade your account!! Now as far as being a parent seeking childcare I am kind of hating it!!! Majority of the people on here applying do not have all of the qualifications that are required state wide to care for young children! Which worries me!!! I feel if you're going to apply for a job seeking to be more than just a nanny and claiming yourself to be a provider you must abide by the state laws!!! Also, without upgrading your account you're unable to reply and really see other things that are on a provider/nanny/babysitters profile!!! Along with that I have applied for many babysitting jobs on here where people have contacted me via email on this site and state they will contact me because their so super interested but then never hear back from them and when I follow up its as if they disappeared. I also receive many referral requests that when I call the number that has been sent to me or the email given its something bogus!!! So I can say I am a little skeptical on the people seeking care and employing for care!!!! But I have enrolled two families from this site and have given many tours and have received great leads from this site so I stay on it. But as far as finding the childcare services I am seeking for my youngest I have had absolutely no luck!!!

Hi there ... I had great luck finding a very caring mom who was able to incorporate my son's schedule and needs with her children's schedule. The care.com connection went smoothly and the interview process was a snap. I was very pleased with the service and the caregiver I found on care.com. I consider myself a very good protective mother, but I also relied on my son's feedback (12 y.o.) as it related to his connection with our caregiver. Good luck to you!
