The VA has released its terrific six-module training guide for family caregivers of vets. Originally designed for caregivers of vets injured post-9/11, the full training guide of the National Veteran Caregiver Training Program is now available for individual caregivers of vets of any age on www.caregiver.va.gov/support_workbook.asp
The modules are: Caregiver Self-Care; Home Safety: Caregiver Skills; Personal Care; Managing Challenging Behaviors; and Resources. They may be downloaded separately or all together as a guide.
