About who needs care: My grandfather has Parkinson's Disease and my Grandma needs help taking care of him. The main tasks she needs help with is taking him to the restroom/personal care and also helping to take him in and out of bed in the evening from 7-9 p.m. Walking with him or doing and mobility exercises are welcome but not a must. About the care needs: Someone who can handle heavy lifting as my Grandpa has a hard time walking on his own with his walker. My grandparents also speak and understand very basic english so that is something to be aware of but my uncles are a phone call away and local if anything is needed. We are looking for a nanny to help with childcare. My husband and I both work from home and need someone to help with our 4 children. 3 of the children are in school and during the school year they are rarely all together. Our 6-year-old daughter has special needs including a wheelchair and feeding tube, so being able to carry 40+ lbs is very important. She is nonverbal and uses an eye-gaze computer to communicate. She is super smart, sweet, and funny. We handle most of her feeding and medical needs but need help transporting her to school and therapy. Due to her needs, this position is partially paid for by the state and by us. We have a large fenced backyard with a 1200 sq foot play room. Time off is flexible as long as it is planned out. I am looking for someone to help with afterschool care and lighthouse work for two days a week and then additional care during the summer when the kids are off and in between camp, etc. Over the years we've had nannies and babysitters and au pairs so the girls have always been comfortable with someone coming in and look forward to a new relationship.
