I need senior care provider with experience. My father (68) has dementia and is diabetic. He has dialysis treatment on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays in the morning. Need someone who can come to his home, ensure he eats breakfast and takes his medication, checks his blood sugar and helps him administer his insulin in the correct dose. Prefer experience with this but will provide training. We will be arranging rides to and from dialysis. So would need you to ensure he gets into ride. In the beginning, may need you to provide transport to dialysis center, 8-10 minutes away. My stepmom (his wife) is 81 and is his full time caretaker. This is respiting care for her so she can sleep.

I have Multiple Sclerosis and struggle with many things. I'm looking to find someone who can help me with some, or all of it. I have bandages that help protect against pressure sores. Those need to be changed periodically. I want to sleep in bed, but that messes up those bandages. My wife wakes up at 5:30 but doesn't have time to help me get into my chair, fix my bandages, get my compression socks on, and get dressed, before she heads off to work. I'm hoping to find someone who can come over in the morning and help me, while my wife is getting ready for work. Sometimes those bandages get messed up when I get on/off of the toilet. I could also use help getting my pants pulled up. I'm hoping to find someone fairly close by, so if I need help, I can call/text and get help within an hour or 2.

Pay is through Person Centered Care Services (PCCS) of NY & starts a $26 based on experience and qualifications. The Client is extremely loving and easy to work with. This is a great case! Our family is seeking someone loving, energetic, & friendly to help her reach her goals. Job duties include assisting with personal hygiene (toileting, showering & dressing etc.), assisting with mealtime, spending time in the community (walks, movies, mall, out to eat, etc.). and most of all spending time speaking to her. Shifts available are Saturday 8 AM- 4 p.m. and Sunday 3PM-9 p.m. We are willing to hire two separate people as well, so please reach you are only available for one of the shifts.
