Are there any other adult sufferers out there?

Hi Cait I am an adult with ADD, but diagnosed myself two or three years ago, but have had it since I was very young. Along with that, I had the absolute worst end of the spectrum when it came down to it. The lethargy end of things which lead to depression, but with proper medication and healing from my past I was able to really utilize my gift of ADD, and I do truly believe if you can find your own victory over the difficulties that come with it you can be a remarkable GENIUS!!!!

Please do not hesitate to email me back if you would like to discuss anything else regarding questions comments or if you need to just talk. :~}

Best Wishes,

Rachel

LOL!! Amy, I feel the same way....our home is "interesting" haha! I too have ADHD, my 3 kids and husband have it as well. I find it very difficult at times, even though I am medicated. I get depressed about it, and know there is other worse things to have, but it can be so difficult as well.....and yes I too enjoy some things it brings as well ;)

It is inspiring to read your struggles as an adult with ADD. I am reaching out for your wisdom. I am not ADD. However, I have a 16 year old son with ADHD and ODD and like you Aimee, this year he was tr eated for depression. I have a 12 year old granddaughter with the ADHD and ODD. Amongest this, my spouse I know and he knows would be diagnosised with ADD if he would be tested. My son's ADHD doctor has confronted my spouse about being tested. Living with all these ADHD personalities is hard. Since I am complusively organized and like projects completed right away, the boys are frustrating me. Please help me understand they way someone with Adult ADD thinks and responds so that I can be a better wife to him.
Thank you, extremely frustrated.
