My family child care specializes in toddlers between the ages of 1 - 4 years of age. I run a very clean and organized facility, giving loving care to my kiddies every day. I have a state license and am CPR/FIRST AID certified. I am also under the VA Child Nutrition Inc program, which comes to pop inspect to make sure we are feeding the children nutritious meals as well as giving them the right amount. =) I have a full-time, play-based, bilingual program and my assistant and I speak to the children in Spanish daily. We have daily circle time in which we cover the basics in English. We also have daily short lessons in Spanish. I teach the kids basic sign language, too!! They LOVE it!! BUT...the majority of the day is spent in free play and recess!! If it's a nice day.....WE'RE OUTSIDE!! We will gladly play hooky from lessons/ projects to be out in the fresh air!! =) We provide breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack for all our kids. We also provide diapers, wipes, cots and blankets. We nap once a day from 12:30pm - 3:30pm. We teach our children to be kind little people and to have FUN at school.
