ABOUT THE SHOW: Who or what is that shadowy figure playing the piano in the school music room after dark? Several students and Deputy Barney set out to solve this musical mystery with surprising results. Phantom Of The Music Room features songs with clever texts set to musical classics by Beethoven, Haydn, Chopin, Dvorák, Sousa, Grieg, and others. Approximate show length: 25-30 minutes

When all the mighty Heroes of Legend are trapped under an evil spell, lesser-known heroes from warriors to wizards are gathered to go save the day. ABOUT THE SHOW: Join a pair of modern day Brothers Grimm and a delightful re-telling of their famous take on the classic tale, the Bremen Town Musicians. In this musical version, you will meet the same lovable characters from the original story, a Donkey named Chocolate and his friends the hound, cat and rooster as they make their way to Bremen Town to join other musicians in an unforgettable JAM session. Along the way, they'll meet a ridiculous room of rascally robbers who need to be taught a lesson. In the end, all will learn the value of sticking together with your friends and ultimately making beautiful music together. Approximate show length: 25-30 minutes

ABOUT THE SHOW: We Are Monsters is a hilarious new musical that follows human kids into a monster cabaret filled with quirky monster characters. The adventurous humans uncover vegetarian vampires and rock n’ roll werewolves, gradually realizing there may be more to these monsters than meets the eye! Most importantly these monsters and kids discover the importance of friendship and celebrating in the attributes that make each of us different and unique. Approximate show length: 45 minutes

ABOUT THE SHOW: A man shares with the audience his favorite record - the 1928 musical The Drowsy Chaperone. As he plays the record, the show comes to life in his apartment. Mix in two lovebirds on the eve of their wedding, a bumbling best man, a desperate theatre producer, a not-so-bright hostess, gangsters posing as pastry chefs, a misguided Don Juan and a sleepy chaperone, and you have the ingredients for a show that will have everyone laughing. Approximate Show Length: 60 minutes

Join us for a week of theatre fun! Participants will learn music and choreography from a family friendly musical and create art projects related to the show. This camp is similar in format and spirit to our traditional day-camps and is appropriate for children, teens, and adults on the Autism spectrum, with Down Syndrome, or any student with an Individualized Education Program or 504 Plan. Along with theatre education social skills, emotional identification, and teamwork will be emphasized. Our Adaptive Theatre camps meet Monday - Friday from 5:30 - 7:30pm at the Palace Theatre's new education building, the Doug Smith Performance Center. All camps are staffed with performing arts loving educators trained in inclusive education. This camp will culminate with a performance on Friday, July 18 at 6:30pm at the Doug Smith Performance Center. Some financial assistance may be available and external funding is accepted.
