This class is designed for Kindergarten through 2nd grad aged children to help them learn and develop fine motor skills through creating art! Your child will practice using scissors, holding a pencil and paint brush, and much more through drawing, painting, and sculpting. Winter Semester (January-Mid March) This class is for high school and college art students. Join us for classical instruction, covering a variety of techniques and skill building, with a degreed art instructor. Students will choose their mediums and subjects for their pieces with guidance from the instructor. Portfolio development will include completed works of art as well as research regarding various schools and programs students are interested in. The main focus of this class is to create a portfolio to assist with placement in the art field, work towards scholarships, and program acceptance. Students will also be exposed to art competitions including how to enter, how to present their artwork for competition, and what types of competitions are available. Do you want to learn how to create a large scale painting ( up to 30”x40”) with drama of beautiful strategic texture? With the guidance of professional artist, Anita Robbins, you will create an original, textured, work of art. This workshop runs for 4 weeks every Wednesday in January. This is a mixed medium painting workshop. During this workshop you will learn how acrylic and texture create a number of archival techniques for a quality substrate.
