This 8 class session will begin with hand-building techniques to provide better understanding of the ceramic medium before working on the pottery wheel. Artists will learn about the full ceramic process from creating their own ceramic pieces, the firing process, as well as glazing. Artist's who have taken this course with us will be able to continue building on their skills and knowledge. The class is 2 hours once per week for 8 weeks. Students will improve technical ability, problem-solving skills, and compositional understanding, as well as learn how to develop their own original projects with the guidance of their teachers. Students can choose the mediums they wish to explore and further develop a richer understanding.
