MOCHA Field Trips are a great way to spend the school year. We offer an array of art lessons and can customize curriculum based on what you are learning in your classroom. Your class or community group will participate in an engaging art lesson led by a professional teaching artist. Students will explore art through literature by hearing a story then exploring hands-on art stations related to the book. Activities will include painting, drawing, clay sculpture, color mixing, clay and collage. Join us for a fun-filled fine art camp where young artists will dive into an exciting mix of drawing, painting, and sculpture! In this hands-on, mixed media camp, kids will create seasonally themed art projects, exploring their creativity through various techniques and materials. After a morning of artistic expression, we’ll take a mid-day break to enjoy lunch at Montclair Park, where campers can relax at the picnic tables and play on the park's play structure, before heading back to the studio for more artistic adventures. Perfect for budding artists eager to explore, create, and have fun!

Designed to excite and capture some of our older campers; this camp will take daily trips to meet different artists from around the Bay Area. Each day we will learn and experience a new art form from talented artists in their field. All materials are included. Campers need to bring an artistic interest, a desire to learn and a lunch.

Point your tastebuds towards a fun and delicious culinary adventure. Similar to all of our camps, we will be traveling to different locations around the Bay Area. Every day will meet and learn from professional chefs from local restaurants. Campers will learn how to prepare and cook their food, and eventually eat their creations. Thus, lunch is included with every day of this week (campers who are not comfortable with a variety of food options are welcome to bring extra food if they desire). ***Note****: Due to the locations and cuisines of this camp week, we must advise that there will be dishes with nuts, gluten, and other possible food allergies. For the safety of the campers, we advise all children with food allergies not to participate in this camp. If you do have specific or rare food allergies please feel free to inquire with us and we will do our best to check the ingredients being used each day.

This summer you can fly around the world using a life size version of Google Earth, blow bubbles the size of a small car and climb around in a DNA double helix. Spend the week exploring science museums and even a submarine. Learn how roller coasters work and what it takes to become an astronaut. Learning is cool and electrifying in the Physics and Technology camp at UAC.

Learn all about our exciting past and look to our future in History 1 camp at UAC. Do you know what aircraft carrier shot down the most planes in US Naval history or how many people have really escaped from Alcatraz? Learn about the Gold Rush and WW2, climb aboard the Eureka and the Bal Clutha and investigate a giant aircraft carrier. How many miles of cable there are on the Golden Gate Bridge? How was the Apollo 11 space capsule recovered? Find out the answers to these questions as you make history during this fun filled week of discovery.

Are you a history buff? If so, this camp is for you. You do not need to have taken History 1 to participate in this week; all you need is a love of all things historical. Come with us as we learn about the fort built to protect the San Francisco Bay during the Civil War. Watch the engines that pull all of the cable cars up and down the steep hills around San Francisco. See the Immigration Station where thousands of people first set foot into the United States in the early 1900’s. Climb into the USS Pampanito and the SS Jeremiah OBrien to see two amazing WW2 ship museums. History 2 week at UAC offers campers a variety of opportunities to experience history like never before.
