Winter Semester (January-Mid March) If you’re in middle school and a fan of action, fantasy, art, or anything in that vein, then come join the Dungeons & Dragons Game & Art class! This class is a fusion of traditional art projects and social team-building games; we will be learning how to draw and sketch quickly as we act out characters in a narrative, while also creating maps, portraits, and inventory sheets to fully design and flesh out a character of our own. This class will help you learn how to build worlds, create characters, and work with others on a personal and group basis. The class is separated as follows: 1/2 gameplay and sketching, 1/2 art projects. Classes are limited in size, so sign up today!

Winter Semester (January-Mid March) Designed for adults that require some adaptive conditions to create their art. Ages 18 and older, for those with special needs but are higher functioning. Adaptive Art is a field that focuses primarily on the students' access to art making despite personal challenges. Art can foster self expression build self-esteem, group participation, self-control and individuality. Students learn to explore a variety of different art materials and styles and are encouraged to trust their own decision-making skills through the guidance of a professional artist. Facilities are wheelchair accessible. Supplies are provided with a $45 fee that will include personal brushes, drawing pencil set and portfolio binder. Please call to see if this is a good fit.

Winter Semester (January-Mid March) Bring art into your homeschool curriculum without the mess at home! Homeschool students work on different art techniques and creativity through drawing, painting, and sculpting. Small art class sizes allow for each child to get one on one attention and give them the opportunity to interact with others. Classes are limited in size, so sign your child up today!

Winter Semester (Jan-Mar) This semester we will be studying art movements that created special effects that created a glowing effect to their work. These Luminist included Dutchbpainters from the 1600’s, Hudson River School along with modern versions of these techniques from Thomas Kincaid and Greg Olsen. This art movement will be the inspiration for the projects done in this class. We will also cover the techniques and different styles found in the art movements of California and how to make a successful composition in these styles. Students bring their own supplies and pick the subject they will be painting or drawing. It is preferred that students work from life or photos and not from other artist's' compositions. It is helpful to look at various artists work of each movement but then create your own version. For example your subject could be a fruit bowl, a landscape, or even a car. If you prefer acrylic, pastel, watercolor, gouache, pencil, oil, or other medium our instructor will help you in the techniques applied to create a successful composition. This course is individual enough for beginners to experts with a willingness to explore and stretch their creativity. It covers compositional skills and art knowledge. Winter Semester (January-Mid March) "Expressive Impressionism" takes the core techniques of Impressionism but adds a stronger emphasis on conveying emotion and personal interpretation through more dynamic brushwork, and exaggerated color. This course explores Impressionist themes, techniques, and various impressionistic artists. Students choose their own subjects and mediums while implementing the lessons learned in class. The instructor is an expert in chalk pastel, oil, acrylic, or watercolor. Supplies are available for use but it is encouraged for students to bring their own in order to continue working in their own studio between classes. We can provide a recommended supply list for the medium of choice if needed. Various techniques will be demonstrated to help guide students to their project goals. Students may choose to follow along step by step or work more independently, getting guidance as needed. Either way is welcome. Spaces are limited, so sign up today!
