This pass is for Winter 2025 Jan 6-Mar 15th .This studio time is meant for an artist the opportunity to focus on their art and take a number of classes. By buying the pass you can attend as many adult classes as you desire (except the glass class which has to be purchased separately). You can attend during that semester as long as there is still room. You must choose which classes so that you spot is assured and if you miss a class three times your spot will be lost in that class. This does not include workshops or supplies.

Winter Semester (January-Mid March) This class provides an opportunity to try different mediums and build on basic art techniques. All supplies provided as students explore techniques, learn basics of color theory, drawing, painting, composition and other fundamentals in art. Students are introduced to the elements and principles of design to create full, functional, and stylish compositions. This class will explore the different mediums used in drawing such as charcoal, graphite, colored pencil, and pastel along with painting in oil, acrylic, gouache and watercolor. This is a beginning class that allows students to test a variety of materials in order to find which medium to continue learning about and then join one of our more in depth classes on that medium. Winter Semester (January-Mid March) *Prior Oil Painting experience recommended This oil class is for adults wanting to build on the fundamentals of color theory, drawing, and oil techniques through creating portraits. This class begins with learning the facial features of the face, proportion, and how to layer colors to create skin tones. Through the guidance of the instructor students are encouraged to develop their own style and ideas while learning the elements and principles of design as well as exploring the painting techniques and lessons specific to oils. Winter Semester (January-Mid March) This class is recommended for ages 9-14. Learn step by step drawing skills in a fun engaging method. By using anime as a vehicle, they will build strong drawing skills that will help them in anything they want to draw. Skill challenges will include facial expressions, anatomy, and character building. Students will learn to create anime characters along with backgrounds and mood. They will learn to compose a scene. This class takes a look at what makes a cartoon an "anime," different methods, techniques, and all the formal elements you need to create your own anime art and characters. Perspective can make or break an art piece! Come learn some tips and tricks on creating perspective with Art House artist and instructor Brittney Brown. This workshop runs for 3 weeks from 10am-12pm on Wednesdays starting January 15. Each week we will focus on a different kind of perspective starting with one point, then two point, and finish with multiple perspectives in one drawing. We will be working in graphite pencil which is the easiest medium to practice and learn perspective, though once you learn how you can apply your new understanding of perspective to any art piece and medium! This class provides the perfect opportunity for adult artists with a basic understanding of drawing and color mixing to work in a supportive and creative atmosphere on works of their choosing. Winter Semester (January-Mid March) Designed for adults that require some adaptive conditions to create their art. Ages 18 and older, for those with special needs but are higher functioning. Adaptive Art is a field that focuses primarily on the students' access to art making despite personal challenges. Art can foster self expression build self-esteem, group participation, self-control and individuality. Students learn to explore a variety of different art materials and styles and are encouraged to trust their own decision-making skills through the guidance of a professional artist.
