GrowFit’s Emerging Athletes Camp! For every aspiring athlete, regardless of experience, here's a fantastic opportunity to explore sports, from the classics to the more creative. About Sports: Each day features 7 games tailored by age group. Continue your practice in traditional sports such as basketball, flag football, soccer, and volleyball. Additionally, play new and creative games like bubble soccer, black light dodgeball, gaga ball, and ultimate ball, just to name a few. Spark your child's athletic desire! More than Just Sports: With the GrowFit staff, our camp isn’t just about picking up a ball or swinging a bat. It's about nurturing a lifelong passion for sports, instilling the true essence of sportsmanship, and creating bonds of friendship. From the best of the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, and today, we’ll be celebrating each decade with a crazy fun way to play! GrowFit camps will plunge themselves into the past and play hard with awesome games based on each decade! Logistics Drop-off: 8:45-9:00 am at the multi-purpose room, through the blue arch. Late drop-offs are permissible. Pick-up: 3:45-4:00 pm at the same location. Early pick-ups are acceptable. Lunch & Snacks: For allergy precautions, please pack a lunch labeled with your camper's name and 2-3 wholesome snacks. Venue: GrowFit boasts both indoor and outdoor facilities. Outdoor activities are contingent on weather conditions and occur on the field and playground. Sun Protection: Please apply sunscreen before drop-off. We also supply sunscreen for reapplication. Kindly inform the camp manager of any sensitivities. Hydration: Kindly pack one or two cheap water bottles. Attire: We recommend athletic clothing, shoes, and a hat. For younger children, please bring an extra set of clothing in the event of accidents. Refunds and Cancellations: Cancellations made at least 30 days prior to the camp date will be eligible for a full refund minus a 10% cancellation fee. For cancellations occurring within 30 days of the camp start date, we are pleased to offer a credit for future participation in our camp. Rebel Art Summer Camps are full of exploration, creative excitement, and and just plain fun! Each week we offer a variety of different media projects (acrylic painting, watercolor, plaster sculpture, mixed media, collage, printmaking, and more!). Projects change each week making it easy for campers to attend multiple weeks of camp without repeating projects, but further exploring the range and depth of mediums. We ensure a good balance between 2D and 3D projects, so whether your young artists prefers to build things and be hands on, paint, draw, or print things they'll be more than pleased! Our camps are not only fun, but an opportunity for young artists to explore art mediums that they typically do not get in school, education in art terminology and art history (including current artists). We break up the week by hosting camp in different locations. Mondays, Wednesdays, & Fridays are hosted at the studio at 1444 South Main st., Tuesdays we meet at Civic Park (1375 Civic Dr, Walnut Creek), and Thursdays we meet at Heather Farms (301 N San Carlos Dr, Walnut Creek,). This unique opportunity is only offered during summer camps and is incredibly special as it allows campers to experience working in plein air (from life outside) as well as in the studio for a complete art experience. Please note that we keep a close watch on the weather and air quality and will relocate to the studio if it will be too hot or poor air.
