Special Needs Care in Murrays Bay

I also have experience in daycare and after school care. I have a family member with special needs so I also understand how to take good care of someone with unique needs

| Hello families I’m Lucie, a special needs teacher working in Auckland. I have a real passion for working with young children and people with special needs and I would love the opportunity to work with you! I have been a buddy and a tutor to a young girl with a intellectual disability for 2 years and I am a teacher aide to primary school aged children with various of needs cerebral palsy, ASD, epilepsy, angel man syndrome, down syndrome, My specialism is communication and believe that every child should have a voice. I have experience using PODD, and high-tech devises including; eye gaze, and PODD. I am able to follow Physio programs, if shown, and use walkers and chairs, as appropriate to the child. I am articulate with strong verbal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with children and adults of all ages, verbally and non-verbally. 
 
I work hard to foster strong and collaborative relationships with children in my care and adults. I enjoy providing support and interacting with children. My priority is keeping the children safe and happy. I believe I can provide high quality childcare.
