For the past few months, I have been working as a Counsellor for Special Needs Children at a Summer Camp in the United States. This meant care for the campers 6 days a week, 24 hours a day. We took care of washing, feeding, changing, toileting, as well as playing games with them, entertaining, going to special events and more. The age range was from 5 years old to 50, as well as one week with a care home (60+). It was an incredible experience that I wouldn't change for the world, and now that I am home I would love to continue to work in this area of work. Special needs caregiver.
