I am currently in NZ on a working holiday visa from the United States. For three summers I worked at a summer camp in upstate New York that specialises in creating programming for children with disabilities, particularly on the autism spectrum. I worked predominantly with girls aged 14-19, but also interacted with children of all ages, abilities and genders. In addition, while at university in the US I nannied for numerous families with children with special needs, working with young children, as well as a person in their 20's. I feel very confident in my ability to work with children of all ages and levels and create a positive, safe and creative atmosphere.
