I'm Valeria and I'm 52 years old. I've been around dogs my whole life and my love for them is unconditional. I'm a proud mum of an 11 year old Chipoo named Ben, who has been with me from the age of 3 months. I'm originally from Chile and been living in New Zealand over 13 years. In Chile we suffer from a lack of compassion towards the many stray dogs that wonder around and since a young age I was aware and tried to help bringing home as many dogs as I could. To me all pets are special and deserve to receive as much love as they give. I resigned from my previous job for a while now. I managed a big accommodation business for 12 years and I felt the needed to get away from all the stress and craziness of the job and start to dedicate more time to my family. Now, I started to feel the need to do something else with my life, something that I can enjoy, have experience at and that allows me to help others along the way. So, when I came across Care.com I felt like it was made for me and had to apply. I hope I can be of help.
