Kia ora, My name is Astrid and I have previously worked in elderly care for a company called Trinity Home care in London where I was an in home private caregiver for people with dementia. I am looking for a similar care work within the Christchurch area. I have completed an in house Level 4 training caregiving certificate through Trinity and have a current first aid certificate. Through my past experience as a private caregiver I have learnt ways to show respect to the patients while providing the best client care possible. Getting to know them and their interest and helping them to continue to enjoy the things they love gives me great job satisfaction and it’s always lovely to see them generally having a great time. I am a lively and approachable person with a full drivers license so can take my clients out and about. I enjoy getting creative through arts and crafts, sewing and baking and would really enjoy helping my clients also enjoy these activities and other things they have interest in. I am a qualified Beauty and Massage Therapist, which I find to be very useful when working with people of all ages as everyone enjoys a little pampering.
