My experience with childcare: During the month of June in 2019, I was employed at the Barfoot & Thompson Stadium Holiday Care Program. I was assigned as a supervisor for children aged 5-12 at the holiday program and would entertain/chaperone children throughout the day. I have had various babysitting gigs over the past 3 years for local families with primary school/middle school aged children At the end of 2021 I completed 50 hours service at a primary school, St Thomas. I worked with my Godmother who was a Year 1 teacher at the time, and acted as a teaching assistant, to give her a few extra hands throughout the school day. I assisted within the classroom, and sports activities during the day. My skills/qualities: Communication - I am able to communicate with peers and leaders, as well as set boundaries and communicate my own leadership if need be. Proactive - I can make decisions before deadlines and due dates and can identify situations before they reach disaster. Reliable - I am able to make appointments and promises to supervisors and peers, and commit to them fully.
