I am 30 and finishing my PhD in Conservation Biology. I am looking to supplement my income with a childcare job because I know I excel at this and sincerely enjoy it. I worked as an au pair for infant twins for 1.5 years, from ages 2 weeks-19 months. I have worked part-time in childcare for over 15 years. I have worked with single children and groups for events. I have also tutored and mentored children of all ages, from volunteering as a teachers aide for grade school students, to counseling troubled teens. I am always moving, so once the kids are taken care of, I look for ways to help around the house. I also love pets. In addition to my childcare experience, I have worked as an in-home caregiver for an elderly couple. This involved: hospice care, easing dementia, and cancer care. While at times challenging, I find care work immensely rewarding. I have excellent references. I have a flexible schedule as I am currently writing up my dissertation from home.
