Childcare in Toi Toi

| I am confident in my ability to provide excellent childcare due to my hands-on experience caring for children in a variety of settings. Over the years, I have taken care of my four younger cousins (now 4, 7, 11 and 14 years old), assisting them with homework, keeping them entertained through play, and looking after their needs—often overnight. This has allowed me to develop strong skills in multitasking, problem-solving, and fostering a positive, nurturing environment for children. Additionally, I spent three and a half weeks living with a family in New Zealand, where I supported them primarily with childcare, alongside some household chores. The children I cared for were 1, 3, and 4 years old, which gave me invaluable experience in managing the needs of very young children. This experience gave me a deeper understanding of daily routines, how to manage children's needs in a family setting, and how to create a safe, supportive atmosphere for kids. I’m patient, reliable, and dedicated to making sure that children feel comfortable and secure while under my care. I look forward to bringing these skills and experiences to new childcare opportunities!

| Hello, my name is Samantha, I'm 20 years old and have a range of experience in childcare. The class I assisted last say they wish I were their teacher 'forever' and drew pictures of me every day. I'm empathetic and nurturing and love reading, making art and nature. I have volunteered in an early childhood centre and primary school as a teacher aide or assistant. I have had great successes, including giving a child with special needs swimming lessons with very little verbal communication. I have helped teach children with ADHD or behavioural problems. I have worked in an after school and holiday programme which included running a quiet and chill club for young ones to make friends. Many of these children were very reserved or anxious but I'm proud that they quickly gained confidence in that environment. I ran art clubs, did walks, made snacks and did pick ups/drop offs. I believe my age is beneficial as I'm responsible and vigilant while relating to children. I have knowledge in codes of conduct, communication, safety and special needs. I have a 4 seater car and art supplies for children. I look forward to hearing from you!
