We are looking for a male part time career support respite worker "buddy/male role model" for our son who has high functing Autism, he also has trouble with walking etc due to issues with the muscles in his ankles. You would be responsible for taking him out into the community, exploring different parts of Auckland, going on outings with us as a family. He loves history, war, mechanical things, music, drawing, crafting, wood working, swimming etc. We are looking for someone mature who has experience with working with children on the spectrum, who is confident in dealing with behaviors that arise, you will need to be punctual, creative, able to take initiative, flexable, references of past work appreciated. The job would also include some weekends possibly for going camping and exploring. My husband is Deaf and we are both awaiting surgery in the coming months and need the extra support during the recovery period, one week paid trail, all going we'll will go ahead with a 3 month contract..there may be the opportunities to extend this.

Looking for a nanny to looking after our 1 year old who is currently tube fed. Looking at two days at the moment 8.30 - 5pm.

Seeking energetic, reliable and compassionate person passionate about working with a 18 year old male with Autism. In Christmas and other school holidays, ideally 1.5-3 hours at a time for 1 – 3 days. Support Worker will provide support in the community and home setting e.g. drives, park, swimming pools, walks. Ideally live in or close to Henderson/Glendene area. Must have clean drivers licence and own reliable, clean vehicle to use to transport to and from activities. Great launch pad into building a career in the healthcare, disability, education and/or youth work sector. Also suit someone who is experienced and working in these areas and has experience managing aggression.

I use a wheelchair so lifting my boy is a bit tricky. I can get him out of his cot but not into it. I can put him down on the floor to play but can't lift him up for a cuddle. I'm unable to drive so will need someone who can so that we can get out of the house sometimes.

Must have experience with special needs children and active and patient. Responsibilities would include spending time with Kane , letting him explore in safe boundaries, including outdoors activities/parks - also helping on any outings to Zoo, park, eateries, etc
