Hi, I’m looking for help caring for my 5 month old at my home in Halswell. I am looking for someone that loves children and has with experience with babies. The job would initially be 2hrs from 8:30am - 10:30am three times a week. Please send me a message to discuss this job further.

I require a special type of person, a second Mother as such, for when I am working from home. This person will have had experience with managing a busy household and in dealing with a 10 year old girl who has ADHD. I’m looking for someone who is able to multi-task and is self-managing, ie sees what jobs need to be done and does them, so this position is likely to be more suitable for a mature person. A full driver’s licence is required. Time punctuality is very important. The role is during school term times only but there may also be times during the school holidays that help is needed. This will be discussed and agreed in advance. There will be a trial period of 2 weeks, so both parties can see if the role and individual personalities are working well. The hours are Monday 4.30pm to 7.30pm and Wednesday 3pm to 8pm. The job generally involves: • A school pick up on Wednesdays • Helping my daughter get ready for ballet • Ballet drop off and pick up on Mondays • Ballet drop off and pick up on Wednesdays • Preparing after school snacks and evening meals • Basic domestic duties, ie cleaning kitchen/bathroom, clothes washing etc • Helping my daughter with getting ready for bedtime. An hourly rate will be discussed at the interview but will reflect the person’s experience.

We have two children - aged 8 (boy) and 6 (girl) and are looking for an extra set of hands to help us out. Given the casual nature of the position, would suit someone who lives locally, especially as sometimes we just need help for a short time after school for example. Our 8 year old has special needs (developmentally delayed with autistic type traits, minimal language but cheeky as anything). We need someone with energy and enthusiasm and initiative who can come up with ideas to engage two very different children and to help them meet their potential. You'll need to be physically fit and active and enjoy being outside! We mainly need help in the school holidays (including the summer break) - this would be casual in nature, but could for example be 2-3 hours a day (during school holidays only) to help with outings or to allow me (Mum) to have 1-1 time with one child, or heaven forbid, have a break! If we can find the right person we would also like help on the occasional weekend and evening for some respite care. Looking for someone who is interested in building up a relationship with our kids, so not really suitable for short termers. Feel free to ask any questions you like as I know this is a little vague!
