Graduated from Waterford Institute of Technology with a second-class honour’s degree in Social Care Practice. During my four years in Waterford Institute of Technology I developed excellent teamwork, problem-solving and leadership skills through group projects. I also gained research and project management skills when carrying out my final year research proposal. I am an energetic, ambitious person who has developed a mature and responsible approach to any task that I undertake, or situation that I am presented with. In my second year of study I completed 12 weeks of work placement in Enable Ireland Kilkenny. I quickly adapted to a new and fast paced environment working alongside a multidisciplinary in the early interventions service with children aged 2-4. Furthermore, in my third year of college I completed another 12-week block of placement with Kilkenny Traveller Community Movement Project. In this placement I had to use my initiative when faced with new challenges. I have held many responsible roles and understand the importance of accountability. I am highly self-motivated and passionate about my education and future career in the Social Care Sector sector.
