I am a qualified Special Needs Assistant, I worked in many different schools throughout Dublin. I have worked in Stewart's 's Special school, Abacus Kilnamanagh, Cheeverstown, St Augustines Blackrock and Saplings in Rathfarnham. I also worked in one main stream school in tallaght for 2 school years.
After that I changed into the field of social care. I am currently in my 3rd year of my B.A in Professional Social Care (disability) I work for a company that provides mainly home care services, this means I work a lot 1:1 and with the families. I go into houses and provide care service and I also bring children/adults into the community to work on life skills.
Working with the the families is wonderful as it allows me to interact with the parents and also the other siblings, this time allows the parents time with other siblings or a chance to catch up on their own daily life's.
This area is my dream area and am fully dedicated to any person I work with all the time.
