Extensive experience with patients
|
I have a deep commitment to patient care, developed through over a decade of hands-on experience in various caregiving roles. For 8 years, I volunteered on a weekly basis at a care home for patients with intellectual disabilities, where I provided support in daily activities, emotional care, and built long-term relationships with the residents. This experience gave me a strong foundation in understanding the unique needs of vulnerable populations.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, I worked full-time as a carer for 3 years, delivering essential care under high-pressure circumstances. I supported patients in a range of health-related activities, helping them maintain their quality of life amidst the challenges of the pandemic, and gained valuable experience in managing both physical and emotional needs in a clinical setting.
Currently, I am pursuing a Master’s degree in Cancer Immunotherapy and Biomedical Science, with the aim of transitioning into research to further help patients. I am passionate about contributing to advancements in medical science and finding innovative ways to support patients through evidence-based research.
