I'm Clara, 30 years old. I enjoy everything creative. Baking and Cooking, also Arts and Crafts. I love spending my free time in nature, hiking and camping.
When it comes to the care for elderly, I greatly appreciate what it requires to provide dignified and respectful care. We are all going to be elderly ourselves (if we are lucky), therefore I strive to provide the care I would like to receive myself. Motivating, yet respectful of boundaries, empathetic to mood changes as well as generational differences. Understanding the importance of both, having chats and sometimes just sitting in silence or watch Tv.
I believe its a lot easier to take care of someone outside your family. I get to meet the person as they are today, without any expectations attached. And for them, they don't have to fulfil a role with me as father, mother etc, so its much easier to accept assistance and help.
I have assisted elderly during Covid in palliative/hospice setting, which was an incredible experience. Furthermore I have a disabled partner (SMA, own care), therefore have great experience with the physical aspects of care, getting dressed, lifting, showing etc.
