I am a literature graduate student at Trinity with expertise in Modern and Contemporary literature, horror/sci, and creative writing. I also have experience in Medieval and Early Modern literature. My approach is not to spoon-feed information to your child, but rather, to equip them with the necessary skills to engage with literature from their own critical perspective. Both my academic and my creative writing have been published at a professional level, and I consider myself a generous and flexible instructor. I want your child to view literature as something to be enjoyed and experienced rather than as something to be conquered. It is my hope to encourage students to develop a lifelong love of literature and learning in general. Therefore, I would not only work with your child on their current school curriculum, but would also develop a course of study tailored to their needs and interests.
