I worked as a behavioural trainer for children with autism and ADHD at an inclusive primary school for a year. My main responsibilities were to manage behavioural issues, regulate emotional engagement and socialisation, while also ensuring that meltdowns are controlled. Sensory tasks, self-soothing, structured activities, speech and communication development, etc; were all taken into account as I worked with the kids. During this time, I also tutored them at home, helping them with their school work and academics.
