My name is Thais and I am a 25-years-old Brazilian student, I am currently living in Limerick to study English and also to have a cultural immersion. As regards to my personal life I have 2 brothers and one sister. I am the oldest sibling and always helped my parents to take care of them. My first language is Portuguese and I also have a good knowledge of English. In addition, I have been taking advanced classes of English here in Ireland. In my spare time I enjoy doing outdoor activities such as going for a walk/jogging and volunteering. I am friendly and patience, I enjoy being with kids and assisting people. As regards to working with children, I have some professional experience in this field. In 2012, I worked as an English teacher in Brazil, and occasionally; I was responsible for teaching English for kids (from 5-12 years old) and teens: some of my duties were teaching English in a more dynamic way: we would play educational games, conducting group activities, painting, etc. Moreover,I have also looked after children in informal contexts. Recently, my cousin (Rafael) and his wife have had two daughters, Isabella (3 years old) and Rafaela (10 months) who I usually helped looking after.
