When working in the dental field, In the two offices I worked for, I was always assigned the child cleanings and procedures. Not just by my boss, but the parents often requested me because they saw how well I worked with their kids and made them comfortable in the dental chair. After I left the dental field, I really missed working with kids, that is when I met J, the sweetest 6-month-old in the world, and for almost a solid year, before I left for Ireland, he was my life. I had him more hours then his parents did. I helped him transition from bottle to solid food, crawl to walking, getting through his teething faze, helping him identify colors, animals, as well as a little sign language to notify me if he was hungry or when he was done eating. We had many adventures to the parks, marinas, pet stores, toy stores, and more. Before J, when I was working my way through dental school, I took care of three little boys on the weekends. These boys were quite the handful, as the oldest has ADHD, the middle child has a form of Autism, and the youngest has Angelman Syndrome. It was not an easy job, but those three boys meant the world to me and more.
