I am a 25 year old childcare worker available for afternoon/evening work in my local area Dundalk. I currenlty work as a childcare practitioner in a creche and I previously worked as an additional needs play therapist where I gained skills and knowledge in the area of working with children with different individual needs and using different play therapy techniques to meet those needs. I have also previously completed work experience in an Autism Unit and in a School Autism Unit where I worked with children at different ranges on the Autism spectrum. Both of these work placements have given me a better insight on how to handle the different cases of Autism with empathy and understanding. My younger brother has autism, this has given me the drive to want to go forward and continue working with people with different additional needs. I have a QQI Level 5 in Applied Psychology and Social Studies, along with a QQI Level 6 in Advanced Certificate in Early Childhood Care and Education.
