I have a full QQI Level 5 award in Early Childhood Education and Care and I am in the process of completing my QQI Level 6. I have been Garda vetted. I am qualified in cardiac first responder and paediatric first aid. I have child protection training. I have also been certified in manual handling and fire safety. I completed a course on equality, diversity and inclusion. I have experience working in pre-schools, after school care, crèche and babysitting. I have experience working one-to-one with children with additional needs and I have completed module one in Lamh (communication mechanism similar to sign language). I have also worked abroad as part of the Erasmus Plus Programme. I believe in children being stimulated in an age appropriate environment. I also believe that children should be allowed to be independent and should be given a balance of indoor and outdoor play. I am qualified in Creative Arts for Early Childhood so I promote creativity and imagination during play time. I also believe that the parent/guardian is the main educator for their child so the parent/guardian's wishes will be upheld at all times. I mind children in my own home from Monday to Friday.
