I’m currently 20 years old, in second year mechanical engineering in MTU Cork. I began babysitting when I was 16, and I used to baby sit 2 different families both households had 3 children each from ages 4-12. I usually babysat them at the weekends when their parents would go out. The activities I did with them usually involved watching a movie, playing a game, listening to some of their music (some of them played instruments) and chatting to them about school etc. When bed time came for them I made sure they had teeth brushed and tucked them into bed. One of the younger children liked me to read a story or two followed by a makeup story before he fell asleep. This was before Covid and since then I’ve only minded a couple of my siblings when my mom went out for a little bit. Also I have looked after my sister and her friend when they went to the cinema.
