I’ve had to take care of children for a very long time mostly as a part time job. I am calm and patient when dealing with children, especially when they are upset or cranky. This helps them feel safe and comforted. Children need to be entertained and engaged, I have plenty of ideas for games, crafts, and other activities that are both fun and educational as I paint, draw and I’m an avid reader. In an emergency, I know how to respond and provide first aid. I have knowledge of basic safety measures and be prepared to take action in case of an accident or emergency. I have good communication skills and I’m fluent with English. I combine these qualities with a genuine love for children. I’ve also had experience babysitting autistic children.
