| I am a 24 y/o woman, who has recently moved back to Mallow, after spending the last five years in Germany. I spent a year as an au-pair looking after a 3 year old girl and also worked for another two families, minding their children after school. Two girls (4 and 7 y/o) and three boys (2, 4 and 6 y/o). I was responsible for picking them up from school, helping with schoolwork, taking to activities and preparing meals. On occasion, I would also bathe them, put them to bed and stay overnight. I grew very close to these children. I'd often bring them to the park for picnics and trips to jungle gyms or kids events, make forts, arts and crafts, bake cookies. The kids would love our dancing sessions together or our endless games of hide and seek! (I also speak fluent German, so if desired, I can help them with learning it!) Working with children has brought me great joy and I'd love to continue, now that I am back home in Ireland. I am able to have fun with them, while still being in charge. I am able to commit long-term, as I realise it is important for children to have consistency in their lives, while also having the time to get to know me and be comfortable with me.
