English Tutors in Stirling

| I’m about to enter my 3rd year of university where I am studying to become an English and History teacher. English has always been my favourite subject and I love learning all about the past, so to be able to study my two favourite things and put them with my dream career is amazing. I have done a little bit of tutoring over the last few years, and have worked with children in a school setting via my placements for uni.

| *Due to Coronavirus (COVID-19) I am currently offering online tutoring only* I am a MA qualified English Literature graduate from Cardiff University, and hold A-Levels in English, History, and Philosophy. I have extensive experience in academic work, and I have worked in the Higher Education Sector both as an English Literature student and a member of staff for the last six years. I have experience in delivering in 1:1 tutoring, small seminar groups, and also speaking at academic conferences. I enjoy helping others with their learning and find it to be very rewarding, both for the tutee and the tutor. I am happy to focus on single aspects of a course or a course as a whole: • How to write and improve critical essays • Folio and coursework help • Textual Analysis and exam revision • Reading for Understanding, Analysis, and Evaluation I can also provide proofreading and feedback for undergraduate and postgraduate University work. | I've worked mostly with students at secondary school level in Modern Studies, History, and English preparation for exams. | I am a full time student at the University of Stirling and I am looking to offer tutoring sessions in my spare time. I managed to receive an 'A' in both National 5 and Higher English and feel it was one of my strongest subjects in school. During my time at school I volunteered as a Prefect and as a Buddy. This involved looking out for younger members of the school and giving up my spare time to ensure that they felt safe and comfortable in their environment. I also made sure to go out of my way to help them if they happened to feel unhappy in any way, shape or form.
