I have lots of experience working with young children as well as coaching older children with their studies too!
I consider myself a fun and practical tutor, who tries to ensure deeper understanding of subjects using alternative methods of teaching, for example through images and stories. I can also teach the 'Memory Method' which aims to improve long term memory and reduce revision time overall.
SUBJECTS I CAN TUTOR:
A-level: Chemistry, Mathematics, Economics
GCSE: Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Mathematics, Music (incl. piano tutoring), English Literature, Creative iMedia, Geography, Spanish.
Primary School: any subject required
I have worked with children aged 4-16 via voluntary work I did over the course of multiple summers. Furthermore, I ran the chess club at my secondary school, in which I helped students aged 11-18 improve their game and enjoy chess!
At school, I was a Chemistry Ambassador and frequently helped out in the science department, helping students understand their work and building on their curiosity relating to the sciences.
I was an 'Accelerated Reader' reading buddy in school, and one of my students improved their reading age by two years with just under two months of my tutoring!
