Special Needs Care in Londonderry

| I started working in education 12 years ago after receiving my Bachelors Degree. Since then I have accumulated about over 6 years experience working with children with special needs. I have an MSc in Autistic Spectrum Disorders from Queen's University in Belfast. I believe that all children deserve the right to an educational setting suitable to their needs and am very passionate about my work. I am fun and easy to get along with and work well with children. | I am someone who loves interaction with others and will always aim to do my best. I feel i have excellent communication skills and pride myself on being focused on whatever I am involved in. My creativity skills allow me to think outside the box and I am always happy to meet new people, take on whatever challenge is given me and work to the best of my ability. I previously worked as a Domiciliary Care Worker for Strabane District Caring services for around a year. I left just over a year ago. Things i did while working there were taking care of others in their own homes. Helping with personal care. General housekeeping and preparing and feeding meals. Administering and supervising medication. What i loved about the job was that it never felt like work so always looked forward to it and enjoyed my time while out and about.

| Hi, my experience is quite varied! in 2017 i worked as a PA/ personal carer to a 22 year old female with cerebral palsy, this job was a live in post and based in London. i tended to all her personal care needs including toileting, showering, feeding, and general needs such as cooking, cleaning, and driving to work and appointments. Between 2018 and 2022 I worked with young people in foster care then became a childminder when i lost my job due to covid. This year I have returned to caring and work with the elderly and disabled within the community in derry. I thoroughly enjoy it.
