Special Needs Care in King's Lynn

| I have supported blind, deaf people with personal care and people with mild to severe learning difficulties lead their lives from personal care to getting out and about. Including appointments hospital admittance medication and holidays. I love to help their life go a little bit easier and fulfilling. I have worked with spinal injuries and life shortening conditions including peg fed client. Verbal and non-verbal clients too.

| I have taught full-time in a special school for over 6 years, only leaving for early retirement due to my husbands poor health. Since then I have tutored pupils who are unable to attend school, working with both behavioural needs and mental health issues. I currently work as a supply teacher in mainstream schools. I am immensely patient and caring, have a good sense of humour but I am also firm when I believe it to be in the best interest of my pupils. As part of my role whilst at the special school I developed programmes of work for a wide ability range within my class, planned day trips, art and crafts, drama, gardening and musical activities. I have taught pupils with a range of physical and mental needs. I have many skills which I can offer. I am keen to support someone and their family and make a positive difference to their lives. I am interested in supporting any age group - including adults. I am an animal lover and would be happy to include pet-care as part of what I can offer. I would only wish to work part-time.

| I possess a wide experience in social care dealing with all kind of mental issues and disorders. I'm a member of the National association of Care & support workers ( ILG-PA/NACAS) and comply with their code of Ethics and values. Also I'm a qualified Reiki Master that can provide services to deal with anxiety, depression, physical pains Etc.I work in a person centred therapy so every individual is unique and the service is specifically created to suit the client needs.I also possess experience with vulnerable children and work 5 years as a mental health support worker with children with bipolar, ADHD, depression, anxiety, self harmer, esquizofrenia and most of mental disorders. complex care support worker with a client with muscular dystrophy, heart conditions, ventilation care, peg and cough assist, Trachy care either in a home environment or hospital setting. Fully trained and qualified as medicine administration which been practicing in the last 6 years at a very high competency. Also I possess a qualification in counselling and psychotherapy and diplomas in CBT and also Reiki Master which allow me to provide a wide range of services.

I've been working for the past 14 years as a one to one worker with a child with autism. This includes working with him in his home in his therapy room helping to improve his communication and social skills as well as going out into the community doing activities such as swimming, bowling and attending a day centre where we mix with the other clients and do various craft activities. I've also supported another child with autism and worked in schools, nurseries and a special needs school. I love this work and take great pleasure in supporting children and young adults with special needs and helping them in small ways to reach their potential. I'm enthusiastic, trustworthy, punctual and empathetic.
